Email Efficiency Tips from ReplyTool

Helping you to use Email Faster, with less Stress and Hassle

Just curious, if you talk to random people online or even friends, how important is it to you what you write?

I've noticed when it comes to most random people off the internet chatting with me, I don't think too much, I don't really care.
But there are cases where it's horrible, I keep thinking about whether I wrote the wrong thing, and will it sound ok and how will the other person perceive what I wrote?

Anyone else experiencing this?

Normally I talk on messenger, apart from specific sites with an email feature where I meet people, but I know it's just fun talk, but recently on one site there was a guy that matched with me like 95% and it was so weird, and it was awesome that there was someone I could talk to about certain things and we exchanged some emails there, and I'm happy I made a new friend, he said he had connection problems back at his college and said to email him on his other email.

I know it should be easy like hey, it's me from that website, how's it going? Is that ok? Is it too little, like would he expect more?
Does anyone else go weird sometimes when it comes to sending something as simple as an email?

I don't know why it's bothering me so much. I guess I just don't want to say something wrong and give the wrong impression and in turn put the person off!

It depends on the nature of the e-mail for me.

If it's more than a "how are you doing" or "when do you want to go to lunch," I tend to put it in a word document and put it aside for a while. Then I come back, re-read it and edit if necessary before mailing.

That's what works for me.

Good Luck!
