How to write an email to my guidance counsler?

How do I write an email to my guidence counsler who I havent met yet! i dont know how to explain that she is my guidance counsler and my mother and I would like to meet with her to ask her some questions about beggining school and all since we havent met. HELP!!!!

Dear Guidance Counselor,

You have been selected to be my guidance counselor. My mother and I am eager to meet with you about my educational career. Please let us know the time and place for this important meeting.
