Email Efficiency Tips from ReplyTool

I would like to add a section to my website, where a person can pay for the product, and upon payment, they can click on a link to automatically download the information they purchased. I have used several sites using this, but have not been able to find out how its done. Any tips or advice appreciated

The easiest way to do this is to create an account with http://www.PayPal.com Then create the Buy Now button. In the dialog area of the button tool, you can send them to a Thank You page that would then contain the link for the download. Just be sure that you do not include that page in your sitemap page, so that others can not just browse the site and find it. Another area that you may also want to look into, is to see if your server host offers a private folder. There you can create an htaccess file and password protect the download file. Then link to that folder and give the username and password in the Thank You page.
