We're not too computer savy yet and are trying to use it to send email resume's, but with the "Corel Word Perfect 10" it just doesn't look very good after we put the resume on it. Someone suggested using the " Microsoft Works 9 Program ". Hope someone can help us with this . Thank You for any help .

Do yourself a favor and uninstall all that stuff.

If you want something nice, easy to use and free, download OpenOffice. It has a word processor that will allow you to create resumes and save them as Word documents that most corporations will require if you email your resume.

Or you could go out and buy Microsoft Office for 500$.

I am the director of human resources for WidgetCorp. WidgetCorp’s director of information technology recently came to me with concerns regarding employees’ use of the Internet for personal reasons on company time. Such usage problems have included time spent shopping, checking personal e-mail or social networking sites (such as Facebook or MySpace), reading news sites or blogs, and even job searching. As well, a number of employees have taken to listening to the radio online, which is distracting for nearby co-workers but also results in increased bandwidth usage, costing the company money.

WidgetCorp’s unwritten policy has been to overlook these types of personal usage as long as such activities did not interfere with employees’ productivity. However, it’s clear the time has come to develop and enforce a company-wide Internet usage policy. The company’s president agrees, but has requested that the new policy make reasonable allowance for personal usage during employee breaks and lunch hours, when employees are technically “off the clock.”

I now need write a memo to all employees informing them of the new policy and its details. The policy will take effect 4 weeks after you issue the email.

******Does anyone have a letter like this for your company?

A woman from AT&T called me after I applied online, and asked me a few questions regarding the job. Then she set up an appointment with me that she said would take around 3 hours. AT&T employees- what should I expect?

This is basically the second phase of your job interview, the first part being the phone interview. You'll be told information about the company, and your training schedule should you be hired. You'll be told about the benefits that come with the job. You'll be asked to provide your work history and references; be honest because the background check is thorough.

You'll then take a customer service simulation; it will be as if you're customer service rep taking calls. You'll be given several different scenarios, and they'll want to know how you'll react. I think your typing skills will be tested as well. Once you finish the simulation you'll be taken aside for a one-on-one interview. If they decide you're a good candidate, they'll invite you back for another interview. That's how my process went/

You should write a formal letter, hand deliver it or mail it, don’t use the email system. You can follow up with an email if you like to thank the Mayor for reading your letter, if you get a response. Based on what I have seen on most email correspondese, your best bet is a real typed letter the old fashion way.

I received a email from Yahoo - when I opened it it was written in what looked like Chinese.

I tried to forward it back to Yahoo - It wouldn't forward.

Then parts of it disappeared.

Each time I open it to find what to do with it - more disappears.

Now Yahoo doest not appear on the - To: line.

Has this happened to anyone else.

It won't let me block it.

I'm very concerned.

DeeJay.

This is very strange.

If anyone know where or what to do - let me know.
Short Stuff - I wonder what they did. I'm running my spyware now. Thank you.
Lynn - I tried customer care - It won't send. Do you know what the exact address is for customer care is?
Thanks Joyce. I will try.
I was able to find Security and they allowed me to write out what happened.
It is from Tiawan with a Yahoo Logo.
It would not allow me to forward. I sent it to spam - printed it off and it shows a yellow character sitting at a computer - a red square with eyes - holding a pitch fork and pointing a the monitor. Language is written in Tiawan words.
Very weird - deleted it - then I was able to send message to security. I have 4 spyware and antivirus - I ran all of them. Hope I got it. Thanks for all the concern.

I'll enclose my cv and cover letter. What should I write in the email in order not to repeat everything I said in the cover letter.?

Complete sentences will be welcome! I can't speak English very well!

Thanks in advance!

Actually, I was taught that you simply put your cover letter in the body of the e-mail and attach the resume and reference sheet.
