Have you ever had to repeatedly nag someone to deliver on a commitment? What if it’s a commitment that is voluntary, i.e. you’re not the other person’s boss, and you cannot force them to do it? The classic case is trying to get your own boss to deliver on a commitment s/he made to you.

Change of Address

Feb-22-2007 By admin

I’ve just registered a “proper” domain name for this blog. It now resides at http://email-overloaded.com. The folks at WordPress.com have rigged things smoothly, so that if you use the old address, you’ll still end up here.
If you are subscribed to this blog’s RSS feed, it should continue working normally, but it would still be […]

I’ve been tracking my newsletter intake over the past week, and I must admit to being rather surprised at the results.
I received only 55 messages from 37 sources that can be described as newsletters, and it took a total of only 72 minutes to read them, including any associated links I was tempted to click on. […]

An autoresponder is a computer program that automatically answers e-mail sent to it. Today's autoresponders need to be careful to not generate e-mail backscatter, which can result in the autoresponses being considered E-mail spam.

Pentium M 1.5 GHz processor, 598 MHz
512 MB RAM 200 pin Sodimm, DRR Memory.
I run XP sp2 and use for surfing, Email and work Productivity.
Software: MS Office Sm Business and Mcafee Internet Security.
The Task manager shows 100% CPU usage often and this is when I just want to toss it in a lake. I show an average of 48 running processes which are mostly consumed by mcafee (15 or More) I have already paid for the macafee so let's not go there. I usually show available memory but the CPU usage is at 100%. Why is that?
I am getting a new Vista but This will be a hand me down to my Kid, I want to know why It show the processor locking up with plenty of available memory. I run 3 different Spyware systems as wll as registry cleaner. I guess I may dump everything when I get my New Vista machine reinstall XP. Will that work?
Sorry about the poor typing!!!

Mcafee is your main problem in my opinion… secondly that is not that ancient of a computer. You need to download SpyBot Search and Destroy or AdAware and clean your system on spyware/adware. Also check you msconfig file for startup items you do not need running altho once they load you should not be seeing 100% usage. You can also get HiJackThis program, run it and export a log to post on numerous sites on the Net and people will help you find what is loading at startup that is harmful.

You may just need to do a complete restore - did Dell bother to include restoration discs with your system?

I would recommend getting rid of McAfee and using something like AVG that doesn't think it should control your computer…

Newsletters seem to take up an incredible amount of space in my inbox. There are some I just can’t bring myself to unsubscribe from, even though I can’t remember the last time I got anything useful out of them. The fear of missing something important is just too great.
In order to help me reduce the […]
