Do you tip servers who have poor customer service?
i just put down 1 cents for their tip.
that's what i learned from my teacher. he says that 1 cents tips tells the waitors have poor service. if not leaving a tip, it makes the servers make the impression that the customers are rude.
if you were a waitor before, you should know that the customer is your boss and you gotta show customers that you need that tip.
if servers are having a bad day, that doesn't mean that they gotta take it out on customers. We are not meant to be mind readers.
i have written letters on yellow paper (yellow makes it more visible) to restaurants complaining about the service and sometimes the restaurants sends me an apology note with a gift certificate so I can continue giving them business.
